Michael, this could have been taken 100 years ago; it is simply timeless. You have that roadway perfectly horizontal, my friend. Is that a rusting truck tabletop I spie in the paddock up there. I love that gentle sloping curve to your horizon. But mostly I love the energy and the blackness of the horses. That first one has a lovely stance whereas the second, sadly, is a bit of a swayback. Fascinating image - as always.
Very striking photo indeed. When oil resources end, that's an excellent alternative. How clever of them. I'm not kidding. My best wishes to you and the ones you love.
How beautiful it is and, then, enlarged, wow! The contrast between the foreground and the background is wonderful - one wonders what the skeletal structure is in the background?

Brrrr... The bare trees and darkness of the mono make it look so cold! I hope those boys are well bundled up.
I like the way the boys and horses animate your photo. You had the lead boy's attention. Happy New Year.

What a great shot. Perfect subject for monochrome.
This is so good when enlarged! I love the composition and the black and white enhances the mood so well. This is really excellent.
Excellent shot Robin. The setting looks old. Looks like it is a very cold place by looking at the bare trees. I cheated, I enlarge it :)
Thanks for stopping by my blog, for commenting in my mono entry and for following my blog. I will follow you and will peek again next time.
Btw, you made me laugh out loud with the " I google threading room" thing. Girls term, you know :)
Have a nice day.
That is not a view we are able to see around here - very fitting, for the subject too.
Oh..look at that...love it. Great catch!
What an interesting and unexpected scene! Thank you for showing it to us!
