Dramatic change in the weather gave Mother Nature an opportunity to be a little creative this last week here in southern Indiana. For the Monochrome Weekly Theme - more startling and striking b&w's from around the world here.
Oh, I'm not ready for ice yet but your shot is beautiful. I can't believe that we have no snow yet here in Wa state after the rough winter we had last year. You just keep the snow and ice and I will enjoy it from afar.

Wow - 'cool' shot. ;) Very nice. We have some of her buddies hanging around outside as well right now.
Winter is the time for Nature's sculpting - thank you for sharing!
What beautiful natural sculpture! Amazing and mysterious...
Nice one. You never know what you'll find. You do have a creative imagination. I can see the fairly tale in your shot.
Great picture. We haven't had frost yet.
Brilliant shot. It's quite sinister somehow.
An awesome shot. Thanks for sharing :-)

B&W surely brings out the twigs and the dirt trapped within the ice, Michael. A good choice.
They do look a bit like dwarves.
Hope it warms up for you soon.
Yes it is the fairy tale. Great shot.
An amazing sculpture. Yes, like a fairy tale. Perhaps the Princess Snow... I'm passionate about ice sculpture.
I absolutely love the detail in this photo. Your photos are beautiful in black and white!
