I don't know the instrument but I do know it is beautiful. It's so shiny and rich in color. It captured some lovely reflections just for you.

It is a mandolin, mostly used for melody lines and accent strums. Or so I'm told!
I own one of these amazing instruments--I intend to learn how to play it very soon.
The fingering and notes are the same as the violin!
