Wonderful capture of texture here, Michael. The roughness of the background highlights the slithering of the smooth snake. He has a brilliant pattern that the light shows off to a tee!

What an awesome capture. Hope you kept your distance and used a good telephoto lens. It almost looks like there is another snake popping its head out of the opening in the lower tree trunk. Fabulous photography. genie
